description WP Theme Design, WP Plugin Development

Chicago Women in Trades is an organization that provides women with support, advocacy, and education to increase participation in well-paid, skilled jobs traditionally held by men and by to help eliminate barriers that prohibit women from entering and succeeding in these fields. They have amassed and wealth of information and needed a new site to share this information with orgnaizations across the country.

I designed and developed the National Center for Women’s Equity in Apprenticeship and Employment, a new WordPress website to showcase the information and resources gathered and provided by CWIT. This includes the Resource Map, a map showing the gathered companion organizations that constituents can find across the country. Using custom fields and a custom plugin for mapping data, I provided a way for the folks at CWIT to maintain this list independently.
